The Chinese Ambassador Li Jie Visited Higer Zambia

On November 21, the Chinese Ambassador Li Jie visited Higer Zambia to learn about its operations and development while talking with local employees.

Li Jie visited Higer Zambia Sales Center, Vehicle Bonded Area and After-sales Service Center. He also attended the presentations made about Higer.

Li Jie said, more than 10 years have passed since Higer first came to Zambia market in 2008. The Chinese companies and Chinese people in Zambia should learn from such spirit of getting rooted in the local market. Higer, making robust development in Zambia, provides premium products and service for local market and consumers, thus establishing the wonderful image of Chinese brands and making contributions to practical cooperation and exchanges between the two countries.
    Li Jie emphasized that Higer, while securing its own development, also actively fulfill CSR. It donates money and supplies to government departments and social charity organizations, and trains local drivers and mechanical workers, thus gaining wonderful reputation in local governments and communities. The embassy of China in Zambia hopes the Chinese companies, while doing a good job in operations, can reward the communities, share their results of development and co-build the positive and harmonious atmosphere with local communities.


The representative of Higer Zambia thanks Ambassador Li Jie for his care and guidance, saying Higer will continue to improve service and product quality, actively disseminate corporate culture and positive energy, and make contributions to promoting China-Zambia relations and deepening friendship between the two peoples.

Higer first came into African market in 2004. After working hard in Africa for 15 years, Higer has made presence in more than 40 African countries including Algeria, Angola, Zambia and Nigeria, etc., selling more than 11,000 buses worth nearly USD 600 million. Since Higer sold its first bus to Zambia in 2009, the sales volume has taken the leading position among Chinese bus brands in the local market. Depending on the high-quality products and powerful after-sales service, Higer has sold more than 500 buses in Zambia. Higer has established after-sales service station and parts warehouse center in the capital city Lusaka, which can rapidly respond to customer demands and provide powerful after-sales support and service.

In June 2016, supported by Zambia Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development, the Drivers Association of the Ministry purchased 100 buses from Higer for young drivers in the country to help with their employment. The delivery ceremony was attended by Vice President of Zambia and other government officials, representatives of Zambia young drivers and representatives of Higer, etc.
