HIGER Brings Flagship Products to FIAA 2026 in Madrid
On September 22 (local time), FIAA 2026, the Madrid International Fair of Bus and Coach, kicked off grandly at the Madrid IFEMA in Spain. As the most influential bus industry event in Southern Europe, this year's FIAA has gathered more than 100 vehicle and supply chain enterprises worldwide, covering the full industrial value chain from vehicle manufacturing, new energy technology to digital mobility services. At this fair, Higer Bus officially unveiled four products: the V13, Azure 9, FENCER f6 Integral EV bus, and Fencer f1 Integral EV chassis.
On the opening day, Higer Bus, one of China's foremost bus manufacturers, held a grand press conference: Jeff Lee, Chief Engineer of the V Series, and Wave Xiao, Chief Engineer of FENCER, took the stage successively to present the design philosophy and technical highlights of each product series. Bruno, Business Development Director of REMO, Higer’s pure-electric mobility partner in Spain, stated that the partnership between REMO and Higer bus has gone beyond the traditional manufacturer-distributor model. The two companies aim to become a dialogue partner that accompanies operators throughout their entire electrification transition, jointly driving a comprehensive scope of cooperation covering preliminary operational demand analysis, customized vehicle R&D and manufacturing, charging infrastructure construction, new energy related supporting facilities, and after-sales service. By combining operators' actual conditions such as routes, capacity, and range, they deliver a one-stop solution tailored to green mobility. The event was attended by over 100 European media outlets and industry clients, creating a vibrant atmosphere and making it a standout highlight of the opening day.
On Higer's booth, the new V series flagship coach V13 is the well-deserved center of attention, with a constant stream of visitors coming to experience the product. At the press conference, Jeff Lee, Chief Engineer of the V Series, explained to guests the core philosophy behind the V13: "A good experience is good design.": The driver-centric cabin is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and floating touchscreen, putting all key information in full view; users can control the entertainment system and A/C via voice commands. Full-LED lighting and a lightweight vehicle design give the V13 high transport capacity and low fuel consumption. For long-distance passenger transport and tourism scenarios, the V13 offers flexible powertrain options. With a total length of 13.15 meters and an overall height of 3.85 meters, it delivers a spacious cabin. The two rows of seats next to the aisle can be moved left and right, and it also has an extra-large luggage compartment of over 10 cubic meters, balancing long-distance comfort and luggage loading capacity. Meticulous craftsmanship is reflected in every detail: The vehicle's operating noise is 2 dB lower than the level specified in EU standards; premium carpets, amber ambient lights, high-speed rail-style pull-down curtains and ergonomic seats create a premium travel experience. Each seat is standard-equipped with a headrest, footrest and entertainment touchscreen, allowing passengers to enjoy audio and video entertainment throughout the journey. The wheelchair lift can be installed on the front wheel, and the seats in the wheelchair area can be flexibly detached, balancing barrier-free access and operational flexibility.
Another major attraction is Higer Azure 9, a model specially developed for the European market. This 9m battery electric low-floor city bus is equipped with a power battery from a world leading brand, offering a capacity of 268.7 kWh. Its lightweight design, independent front suspension, and ECAS system with lifting and kneeling functions allow it to operate smoothly even on narrow streets and historic urban areas of Europe. Notably, the Azure 9 is equipped with a full-vehicle CAN bus and T-BOX, enabling customers to monitor real-time vehicle health status via the cloud platform. All key components are sourced from well-known European brands, both hardware configuration and software logic are tailor-made for European operators. Since its launch, this model is currently in operation in multiple European countries, including Italy, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Iceland.
If the V13 and Azure 9 showcase Higer's vehicle strength, the FENCER series highlights the core competitiveness of Higer's "vehicle + chassis" system. At the press conference, Wave Xiao, Chief Engineer of FENCER, presented the product series of this premium zero-carbon sub-brand: FENCER, built on a self-developed, highly integrated chassis platform, is showcasing two flagship products at this exhibition: the f6 Integral EV bus, and f1 Integral EV chassis. Designed specifically for intercity passenger transport, the f6 features battery preheating and precooling during charging. Its highly integrated high-voltage system effectively reduces maintenance costs; while maximizing driver and passenger space, it is also designed with ADAS to guarantee driving safety. The f1 highly integrates chassis, powertrain and ADAS, and supports 360kW high-power fast charging. Its self-developed 5/6-in-1 high-voltage components feature low energy consumption and stable, reliable output, which can flexibly adapt to diverse urban bus demands, providing a high-quality "foundation" for the electrification of European urban public transport. At the chassis exhibition area, many technically minded visitors showed great interest in this "invisible technology": they carefully looked at the integrated structure and discussed application details frequently.
